With immediate effect, further customer groups can submit evidence digitally for the promotion of heating systems
- KfW continues to implement its promotional roadmap
- Private owners of multi-occupancy buildings and housing associations can apply for grant disbursement
KfW is implementing the next step of the promotional roadmap for the promotion of heating systems, as planned. Starting 27 November 2024, owners of multi-occupancy buildings and condominium associations, who have received a grant commitment from KfW for the transition to climate-friendly heating in their common property and already implemented the respective measures, can use the customer portal “Meine KfW” (in German) to digitally submit the evidence required for verification and disbursement. Once KfW has approved the supporting documents and verified the eligibility requirements, the grant is transferred to the grant recipient’s bank account. This usually takes place before the end of the month following the review of the evidence provided.
The following applies in general: The promotional funds are reserved for all customers who have received a grant commitment from KfW to promote their heating system replacement. They have 36 months from the commitment date to implement the measure. They must then digitally submit to KfW the evidence required for the disbursement of the promotional payment.
In the next step of the promotional roadmap, in March 2025, KfW will implement the submission of evidence from companies for residential and non-residential buildings, owners of rented single-family houses and owners of rented and self-occupied apartments in condominium associations for measures implemented on individual property.
Municipalities that have already been able to pre-register heating system replacement projects as part of a transitional scheme since August this year and reserve the promotional funds are now also able to submit applications via the “Meine KfW” (in German) customer portal. It is estimated that it will be possible to submit evidence from June 2025.
In the middle of the coming year, a fully digital, largely automated online process will thus be available for all private, commercial and municipal customer groups for the application, commitment, submission and review of evidence for the promotion of heating systems.
