KfW Board of Supervisory Directors extends contract of KfW Executive Board Member Christiane Laibach

The KfW Board of Supervisory Directors has appointed Christiane Laibach as a Member of the Executive Board of KfW for two more years until 31 May 2024. The Chair of KfW’s Board of Supervisory Directors, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Dr Robert Habeck, and Deputy Chair and Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner announced this in a statement following the meeting of the KfW Board of Supervisory Directors on 27 June 2024.

Christiane Laibach (62) was first appointed to the KfW Group Executive Board on 1 June 2021. Her current contract runs until 31 May 2025. It is planned that she will retire from the KfW Executive Board at the age of 66, at the end of her new contract.

Christiane Laibach has been working at KfW since 1990, which she joined as a trainee. She is the Executive Board member responsible for international finance. She is also Chair of the Board of Supervisory Directors of KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH, Frankfurt am Main, and First Deputy Chair of DEG - Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, Cologne.
