Joint press release of DBS and KfW:

Inclusive team spirit in both sport and work – DBS and KfW Group have launched a campaign to promote social participation

The National Paralympic Committee Germany (DBS) and KfW Group are strengthening their partnership and engaging in a large-scale campaign to raise awareness about the subject of inclusion in sport and professional life. It focuses on the participation of people with disabilities in working life. Under the headline “Promoting inclusion – shaping the future”, KfW and DBS are committed to ensuring that every person can successfully develop their strengths in sport as well as in work. The campaign kicks off with digital displays of the campaign motifs. The sporting and professional achievements of the athletes are highlighted with an eye-catching message. In addition, out-of-home media will feature campaign motifs in the three cities of Frankfurt, Berlin and Bonn during the year, and various event formats have also been planned.

DBS Secretary-General Stefan Kiefer:

“KfW Group is an important cooperation partner for us, the National Paralympic Committee Germany, to have on our side; this is a partner that promotes diversity and equal opportunities and considers the integration of people with disabilities in all areas of the company and beyond to be self-evident. We believe it is very important to think about and promote self-determined participation and inclusion in areas that extend beyond sport. The inclusion of people with disabilities has made positive progress in recent years, both at work and in sports. Together with KfW, we want to push this even further."

Robert Szwedo, Head of Human Resources at KfW:

"We are very pleased about the cooperation with the National Paralympic Committee Germany, the DBS, because we are united in the promotion of diversity in working life and sport. The promotion of inclusion is also a high priority at KfW. We aim to ensure that everyone, along with their individual characteristics and abilities, has equal opportunities and possibilities. Our experience shows that different perspectives and diverse teams are important for a company as they not only enrich the work culture – they enrich the entire company culture. We and the National Paralympic Committee Germany are combining our goals and expanding them even further through this cooperation."

Already since 2021, both organisations have been working together to promote greater participation in working life. As partners, both organisations want to use mutual opportunities to highlight the importance of sport for people with disabilities and to direct people with disabilities towards suitable jobs more effectively.
