Privacy Notice for Participation in KfW Online Surveys

When you click on feedback and survey links on the KfW Bank Group's websites, you can participate in surveys. Additionally, we invite you to participate in surveys via email if you have previously consented to us contacting you for product improvement and processing your data.

  • Participation in surveys is, of course, voluntary. We adhere to data protection regulations. If you choose not to participate, you will not face any disadvantages.
  • Participation in surveys occurs without providing your name and/or contact details and is strictly separated from any data that may have been collected and stored by KfW for other purposes regarding you.
  • We analyze the results without relating them to data stored elsewhere about you. Important: Please do not enter any personal or confidential information (e.g., name, address, or account number) in free-text fields.
  • When using the survey, your IP address is collected, retained for 30 days for data security reasons, and then deleted. This is done on behalf of KfW by a service provider. The storage of your IP address is necessary to tailor the surveys to your needs and to conduct them smoothly. Personal data is processed solely for the stated purposes.
  • In email surveys, we may use personal participant data (name, first name, and email address). We process the data exclusively to invite you to surveys and any subsequent related surveys. Depending on the design of the survey, you may have the option to pause your participation and continue at a later time. In this case, your participation status will be temporarily stored until the survey is completed. The duration of temporary storage is usually up to 30 days but may be longer in exceptional cases if necessary for the evaluation of the survey. Your participant data will be deleted a maximum of six (6) months after the last available historical entry. During this six (6) month period, you may also receive invitations to follow-up surveys. Of course, you can object at any time to us using your email address to invite you to surveys or follow-up surveys. If you no longer wish to receive invitations to surveys in the future, please click here.

KfW uses the software Keyingress for surveys. The technical operation of this software is carried out by Ingress GmbH – a service provider that is integrated and subject to instructions from KfW. Personal data is not transferred to a country outside the EU or the European Economic Area.

By clicking on a survey link, you consent to us processing your personal data to the extent mentioned (according to Art. 6 para. 1 subpara. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can terminate your participation in a survey at any time, even before its completion. In this case, the personal data collected up to that point will be deleted immediately.

Additionally, we refer you to the KfW Data Protection Principles.
