Circular economy

It still sounds like utopia: that we operate in such a way that no waste is produced and resources are used again and again. In Europe, this scenario is now becoming a reality thanks to the initiative of European development banks, which have joined forces to support contributions from companies and local authorities to the circular economy. The initiative aims to invest 16 billion euros in circular economy projects by the end of 2025. In our dossier, we present the European Joint Initiative on Circular Economy (JICE) and projects that pursue the principle of a closed-loop economy.
