TUMO Center in Germany

The entrepreneurial couple Sam and Silva Simonian wanted to promote digital education for young people in Armenia. TUMO is named after the nickname of the Armenian national poet Tumanyan. The concept is now also expanding in Germany: thanks to KfW's initiative, there are already TUMO centers in Berlin and Mannheim. Further TUMO centers will soon be opened in Cologne, Essen, Lüdenscheid, Hirschaid, Düsseldorf, Saarbrücken and Frankfurt.

A digital learning centre for creative minds

TUMO, the digital learning centre, opened in Berlin in the middle of the "soft" lockdown. Adapted to pandemic conditions, 12 to 18-year-olds can now learn online how creative programming works. The unique education project modelled on an Armenian project is a hit with young people. Other TUMO centres shall be opened as soon as it can be arranged.
