Non-profit enterprises now also benefit from the ERP Start-up Loan – StartGeld
- The programme for non-profit enterprises opens on 1 November
From 1 November, more entrepreneurs will benefit from the ERP Start-up Loan – StartGeld. The programme will be opened to non-profit applicants as part of the implementation of the German Federal Government’s “National Strategy for Social Innovation and Social Enterprises”.
As a bank committed to responsibility, KfW is opening the programme to specifically support companies that make a positive contribution to society with their solutions.
The ERP Start-up Loan – StartGeld gives entrepreneurs, self-employed professionals and young companies access to a low-interest loan up to five years after they start their business. All companies serving the common good are entitled to apply. This applies to small commercial social enterprises that intend to make profit and to small non-profit enterprises. In addition to companies in primary employment, the promotion is also available to sideline enterprises, as long as they are generally capable of being a main source of income.
All qualifying applicants can apply for a loan of up to EUR 125,000 via their regular bank. What makes this particularly special is that KfW assumes 80% of the customer credit risk for the regular bank. Investments and running costs are promoted.
